Embracing technology increases Citizens Bank’s appeal

Citizens Bank (Canada) has been my favourite bank for a while. Currently, they’re running a referral program to attract new customers. What impresses me is that there are Facebook Share and del.icio.us links at the bottom of their promo page.

The Facebook Share and del.icio.us buttons on the Citizens Bank promo page

These links drive the Facebook and del.icio.us users to action and, through such a simple step, shows potential customers that Citizens Bank is tech-savvy (heck they’re a mostly online bank) and innovative. Now that is awesome. For the reader who don’t know what these buttons do, they don’t confuse he / she since they don’t play a major role in the promo.

I haven’t even put such links on this blog yet!
